Mass broadcasted live from the Milk Grotto every day on this website

During Advent the Holy Places, that were the first witnesses of the Incarnation, will be a little closer to those who have no opportunities to touch them.

Starting Monday, November 28th, through Christmas up to the Epiphany, the Mass from the Milk Grotto in Bethlehem will be broadcasted live on our website every day at 9.30 (8.30 Italian time), by the Franciscan Media Center and the Italian broadcaster TV2000.

The Perpetual Adorers of the Blessed Sacrament will also take part in the celebration.

The thirteen nuns, part of an order devoted entirely to the cloistered contemplative life, have been living in a monastery since 2006 – supplied by the Custody of the Holy Land – next to the Milk Grotto, which they visit every day in procession.
The Franciscan sanctuary of the Milk Grotto, only a few meters from the Basilica of the Nativity, is the holy place where according to the Christian tradition - attested by the testimonies of pilgrims dating as far as the 12th century - the Holy Family stopped shortly after the birth of Jesus.
Its name is linked to the legend that tells of some milk, dropped by Mary while nursing her Son, that turned the rock white. In this place, which commemorates the maternal love of Mary, many women turn to the Mother of God every day asking for the gift of becoming mothers.
