Father Josè Rodriguez Carballo arrived this morning, June 14th. The Minister General of the Order of Friars Minor, on a visit to the Custody, met Father Pierbattista Pizzaballa and the friars of the Discretorium in the convent of St. Saviour.
In the next few days, the Minister will take part in the Chapters of the Franciscans of Judea and of Galilee.
Father Josè Rodriguez Carballo was born in Lodoselo, Spain in 1953. Appointed Minister General in 2003, he was reconfirmed in 2009. A member of the Province of Santiago de Compostela, his academic qualifications include a Degree in Biblical Theology which he obtained in Jerusalem.
