MOM, the Magnificat Open Music Festival celebrates that time of the year when the Magnificat Institute, the music school of the Custody of the Holy Land, opens itself to the outside and invites the audience to attend a series of concerts where students and teachers play together classical music.
The idea behind MOM is that music needs to be studied but, most importantly, played: from a young age the musicians are invited to play together with their classmates and teachers in front of an audience.
The concert itself becomes an educational opportunity and a social and playful moment. Only music can really bring together people who are so different in age, experience and background…while enjoying themselves.
MOM will take place every Thursday of May in the Terra Sancta complex (the first 3 concerts at the Auditorium Immaculata while the last 2 in the Church of St. Saviour).
