As is now tradition, an Israeli military delegation came to visit the Father Custos to wish the Franciscans a Happy Christmas.
The Israeli delegation, accompanied by Friar Ibrahim Faltas, OFM, responsible for relations with the Israeli Authorities, included: Mr. Eitan Dogner, General Coordinator of the Civil Administration; Mr. Eiyad Sarhan, Military Commander of the Bethlehem Area; Mr. Saliba Saliba, Jerusalem Police; Mr. Cesar Marjieh, Responsible for Christian Affairs at the Ministry of Religious Affairs.
The brief and cordial meeting began at 11.30 a.m. speaking about the security measures that will be adopted so that all the Christmas festivities can take place in safety and tranquillity.
The delegation then ensured the Custos that the Christian population will be able to freely cross all the checkpoints from Bethlehem to Jerusalem during the Christmas period. After a moment of conviviality, wishes and greetings were exchanged.
