In late November 2008, a conference brought together around the same table all the religious leaders from all the major religions represented in Israel.
This was the second time that these Jewish, Christian, Muslim, and Druze dignitaries had gathered together to discuss a topic of common interest. This time, the topic was fighting against violence in the land of Israel.
Each of these religions is divided into various sects and denominations, and all the major ones within each religion were represented.
The most impressive aspect of the gathering was not simply the discussion itself but undoubtedly the friendly atmosphere that pervaded the meeting. It is unfortunate that there was little to no media coverage of the event.
