Jerusalem, Sunday 3rd of June 2012

On Sunday the 3rd of June at 10 am, in the Franciscan Parish of Saint Saviours, the mass in Jerusalem commemorating the Feast of the Italian Republic was celebrated. At the ceremony the Italian General Consul, Mr. Giampaolo Cantini and wife, together with other consular personalities, were present.

The mass was presided by father Artemio Vitores, Custodial Vicar of the Holy Land, and concelebrated by numerous Franciscan Friars, with the participation of Italian religious and lay people living in Jerusalem.
In his homily Fr. Artemio underlined the great mystery of the Saint Trinity. The mystery of the “ One God in three People” revealed from God in clear words, difficult to explain, but understandable only thanks to a profound faith.

At the end of the function, during the reception, F. Artemio Vitores, shared with the Consul signs of solidarity, to all the Italians who are living difficult moments because of the earthquake in Emilia Romagna.
