The Custody of the Holy Land announces that the Lord called Fr. Pietro Kaswalder OFM, professor at the Studium Biblicum Franciscanum in Jerusalem, Wednesday morning, June 18 2014.
Fr. Pietro Kaswalder was born in Rovere della Luna (Italy) in 1952, He belonged to the Franciscan Province of San Vigilio, Trentino. In 1988, He received his doctorate in theology with a biblical specialization. Father Pietro remained at the Studium Biblicum as Lecturer, and published numerous studies. Over the years, He contributed regularly to the Holy Land Reviews.
The funeral will take place Saturday, June 21 2014 – 9:00 am - at the church of St. Savior in Jerusalem.
The whole Custody prays for Fr. Pietro, in pain and hope, along with the teachers and all the students of the Studium Biblicum.
