Eight graduates from the Spanish College

The ceremony for the award of the diplomas at the Spanish College, Jerusalem, was held in three languages: Spanish, Arabic and English. Run by the missionary sisters of Calvary, the school, named after Our Lady of Pilar, has about 200 Christian and Muslim girls for pupils.

For eight of them, Saturday 21st May was the day of farewells and congratulations for the path they had followed over the years. The courtyard of the College, in the middle of the Old City, was the venue for the ceremony with the Spanish Consul-General, Alfonso Portabale Vasquez, awarding the diplomas.

The guests included, representing the Custody, the Custody’s Vicar, Brother Artemio Vitores, whilst Samir Hodaly greeted all those presence on behalf of Sister Marta, the head of the College.
