This day began with the Mass of Resurrection celebrated at the Holy Sepulcre. The solemn celebration, presided by the Custos of the Holy Land, opened the penultimate session of the brother’s work, today on the question of perspectives for future.
The talk of the Secretary General for Formation and Studies, fr. Massimo Fusarelli, gave some instructions for work in language groups, asking for concrete propositions to be added to a conclusive letter, fruit of this exceptional week. Before lunch, the auxiliary bishop of the Latin Patriarchat, His Excellence Msgr. Fuad Tual, visited the chapter and gave some impressions of the situation in the Middle East searching for peace.
In the afternoon the friars met the Custos and his Vicar who spoke about the reality of the Custody and its service to the local and the universal church as guardians at the Holy Places. After that, discussion started about the feedback elaborated in language groups in the morning.
In the evening the brothers went to Ain Karem where they were guests of the postulate community of the Custody, in the place of the house of Zacharias and Elisabeth. After Vespers, presided by General Definitor br. Miguel Vallecillo, they shared supper followed by a festive night with typical products of the various nations represented in the Chapter.
