7th Magnificat String Competition

The Magnificat Institute, the music school of the Custody of the Holy Land, presents the 7th annual edition of the Magnificat String Competition.
The competition, open to all music students of the region, has the intended goal of promoting musical culture and of encouraging young people to study string instruments.
The auditions – open to the public – will take place all day on Friday, December 4 at the Immaculata Hall in St. Saviour’s Monastery (New Gate, Jerusalem). A total of 75 students coming from Jerusalem, Bethlehem and Ramallah will compete in the different categories: Guitar, Cello, Violin and Viola.
An international jury will evaluate the performances.
Theconcert of the winners and the award ceremony will take place on Sunday, Dec. 6 at 6 p.m., again in the Immaculata Hall.
Everyone is invited to attend.
