On Wednesday, Nov. 29, in the Basilica of St. John Lateran in Rome, the Franciscan Family celebrated the 800th anniversary of Pope Honorius III's approval of the Rule drafted by St. Francis of Assisi.
Although not physically present, Pope Francis sent a message (full text attached) addressed to all members of the Franciscan family.
