Following Pope Francis' announcement of the forthcoming appointment of new cardinals during the Consistory scheduled for 30 September 2023, the Custos of the Holy Land fr. Francesco Patton wished to express and send his congratulations to Mons. Pierbattista Pizzaballa, Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem (former Custos of the Holy Land) and Mons. Claudio Gugerotti, Prefect of the Dicastery for the Oriental Churches.
