Istituti religiosi e laici che collaborano con la Custodia

São muitas as comunidades e ordens religiosas que levam a cabo as suas actividades em colaboração com a Custódia da Terra Santa.

Unidos pelo desejo de viver nas Terras Santas, junto aos franciscanos, os vários Institutos religiosos e as comunidades de laicos inspiram-se no princípio cristão da vida simples e de ajuda ao próximo.

A sua colaboração com a Custódia e com as comunidades da Terra Santa centra-se, sobretudo, na manutenção dos santuários e das actividades relacionadas com eles. Estas compreendem geralmente a animação litúrgica, oração e serviços aos peregrinos. Alguns, entretanto, estão imersos no apostolado social através da gestão de escolas e casas de acolhimento para crianças e idosos. Outros ocupam-se da evangelização através dos meios de comunicação, e também há quem se dedique a ajudar famílias e pessoas com necessidades.
