Istituti religiosi e laici che collaborano con la Custodia

Son muchas las comunidades y órdenes religiosas que desarrollan su actividad en colaboración con la Custodia de Tierra Santa.

Unidos por el deseo de vivir en los Santos Lugares, junto a los franciscanos, los distintos Institutos religiosos y comunidades de laicos se inspiran en el principio cristiano de la vida simple y de la ayuda al prójimo.
Su colaboración con la Custodia y con las comunidades de Tierra Santa se centra, sobre todo, en el mantenimiento de los santuarios y de las actividades relacionadas con ellos. Éstas comprenden generalmente la animación litúrgica, la oración y los servicios a los peregrinos. Algunos, al mismo tiempo, están inmersos en el apostolado social mediante la gestión de escuelas y casas de acogida para niños y ancianos. Otros se ocupan de la evangelización a través de los medios de comunicación y también hay quien se dedica a ayudar a familias y personas con distintas necesidades.
